Taking as inspiration the memories of late 1980s and early 90s Acid House culture, a reworking of the union jack, and a caution to the possible hauntological future. This first quilt featured elements of warning signs, and patterns of chevrons found in my earlier printed works using high contrast black with yellow to make clear the vulnerability of local and national cultures as we stare in to the face of nationalism during Donal Trumps second term as US president and an upsurge of right wing politics across Europe.
